Here for Sault Ste. Marie
Michele is an active member of the community whose professional experience gives her real insight into the challenges families face today. Michele works with and advocates for students with special needs, and as a former small business owner she understands the demands local businesses face. Michele has leadership roles in her local union (OSSTF), the Sault Labour Council, and the Ontario Federation of labour, she sat on the Community Adjustment Committee, and has volunteered with the United Way, Kiwanis, and Rotary. She has also coached young people in t-ball and figure skating.
In years past, she didn't picture herself getting involved in politics. After suffering an injury at work and having to fight her way through the system to have her issues properly addressed, she made the decision to start advocating on behalf of others at all levels. She started out fighting for fellow workers, but now Michele is eager to start fighting on behalf of all Saultites as our MPP. She understands what needs to be done to make life easier and more affordable and is ready to bring Change for the Better to Sault Ste Marie.
